The Charlotte Bronze Handbell Ensemble is the largest community handbell group in the Piedmont with twenty-two ringers ranging in age from 14 to 60+.  CBHE performs on two sets of Malmark, one set of Schulmerich, one set of Whitechapel and two set of Malmark chimes.  The Charlotte Bronze Handbell Ensemble includes two community handbell groups and was founded in March of 2011.  Just four years old, the group has already performed in many festivals and events in Charlotte and across the state.

CBHE’s Artistic Director and Conductor is internationally acclaimed conductor, composer, and performance arts educator, Timothy H Waugh.  Tim Waugh is well known in many performance mediums, including handbell, choral, church music and musical theatre.  Early in his career he became noted for his work in conducting and teaching children and youth, and he is excited to continue those pursuits while working with children of all ages!  He is a tireless champion for performance arts in the church, classroom and community.
